The first thing to know is that I’m professionally infatuated with words—which we choose, how we arrange them, and the way they serve our search for connection and meaning.
I grew up in Southern California and graduated summa cum laude from Pomona College and Duke Divinity School. While in college, I worked at the Pomona College Writing Center, supporting my peers in every step of the research, writing, and rewriting process; during graduate school, I began my freelance career. In 2022 and 2023, I worked at Duke University in administration and communications, which allowed me to continue building my skills in the company of some truly bright minds.
I live with my husband in Buffalo, Texas. This small town lies at the crossroads of Central and East Texas, within two hours of Houston, Dallas, Waco, College Station, and Tyler. It’s the perfect place to raise a feisty black cat and a playful yellow dog—and yes, we do go through a lot of lint rollers.
